REGERINGSMAATREGEL OM GEEN PEREN TE ETEN WERKT

De regeringsmaatregel om geen peren meer te eten werkt, zo melden regeringskringen. De maatregelen waren op 1 april ingegaan na berichten dat peren mogelijk net als appels giftige stoffen kunnen bevatten. Maatregelen bleken noodzakelijk nadat op een markt in Napels iemand na het eten van peren is overleden. De symptomen kwamen overeen met die van eerdere gevallen in 2015 waar mensen overleden na het eten van appels. Wetenschappers wijzen op de verwantschap van appels en peren, maar zeggen er tegelijkertijd bij dat deze niet door elkaar moeten worden gehaald.

Den Haag – Een woordvoerder van de regering liet ons weten dat de regeringsmaatregel om geen peren te eten werkt. Deze maatregel tegen PYRUS-19, zoals deze crisis wordt genoemd, wordt goed nageleefd, en peren zijn verwijderd van markten en groenteveilingen. Of ook alle perenbomen gerooid moeten worden wordt nog onderzocht. Maatregelen als deze zijn volgens de regering noodzakelijk omdat wetenschappers hebben aangetoond dat appels en peren vergelijkbare verschijnselen kunnen oproepen bij mensen. Deze verschijnselen zijn waarschijnlijk afkomstig van dieren waarvan bekend is dat zij regelmatig appels eten. Het eerste geval van deze nieuwe ziekteverschijnselen is gesignaleerd op een  markt in Napels waar een oudere vrouw een peer heeft gegeven aan een jong meisje. Dat meisje is met ernstige vergiftigingsverschijnselen in het ziekenhuis opgenomen en in quarantaine geplaatst. Doktoren die het meisje hebben behandeld wijzen op de ernstige klachten die het meisje heeft en deze lijken erg op de symptomen van appelvergiftiging zoals de mensheid die eerder heeft gezien bij Sneeuwwitje. Niet kan worden uitgesloten dat de peren zijn gemanipuleerd in een chinees laboratorium, waar eerder is geëxperimenteerd met vruchten uit de rozenfamilie waartoe ook de peer behoort.

Nederland neemt stevige maatregelen, op basis van peren-deskundigen, zegt de Minister President vanavond in zijn persconferentie, aldus betrouwbare regeringsbronnen en volgt daarmee het advies van de WPO (World Pear Organisation). Er wordt een zgn. slok-down afgekondigd. In omliggende landen wordt ook het ter consumptie aanbieden en verkopen van peren verboden. In Nederland wordt een intelligente slok-down afgekondigd, alleen het doorslikken van peren wordt verboden. Wel zijn aanvullende maatregelen noodzakelijk om Nederland voor te bereiden op een maatschappij zonder peren. Mensen met een peervormig figuur worden geïsoleerd van mensen met appel-gezichten en mensen wordt aangeraden om alle groente en fruit goed te wassen als zij vermoeden dat er contact is geweest met een peer. Speciaal voor de bescherming van kwetsbare ouderen worden fabrikanten van lampen en armaturen verplicht de vormgeving van hun lampen aan te passen omdat met name door kwetsbare ouderen in de volksmond lampen ook wel “peertjes” worden genoemd. Het zou, aldus het RIVM, gevaarlijk kunnen zijn om in een lamp “een nieuw peertje te draaien”. Ook wordt het verboden om appels met peren te vergelijken. Wetenschappers is het nog wel toegestaan om zgn. peer-groepsleden te raadplegen, mits deze bijeenkomsten virtueel worden gehouden. Ook andere beroepsgroepen waar regelmatig collega’s worden geraadpleegd zullen maatregelen worden opgelegd. Peer-to-peer contacten zijn alleen mogelijk met 1,5 meter afstand tussen de deelnemers. Omdat het onderscheid tussen collega’s en andere mensen niet altijd duidelijk is zullen ook winkeliers, theaters en het openbaar vervoer aanpassing door moeten voeren om te voorkomen dat peer-to-peer contact plaats kan vinden. Conferenties en conference-calls blijven verboden vanwege de mogelijke verwarring met conference-peren.

Hoewel de economische gevolgen inmiddels zeer groot zijn en duizenden bedrijven het einde van het jaar niet zullen halen zal de regering de slock-down niet opheffen voor de komkommertijd. ‘We zullen door de bittere appel heen moeten bijten’ aldus de Minister President. ‘Solidariteit wordt gevraagd om de broekriem aan te halen, zodat andere niet aan het risico van peren worden blootgesteld’.

Uit wetenschappelijk onderzoek blijkt dat met name stoofperen een groot gevaar voor de volksgezondheid opleveren, omdat deze ook gevaarlijk kunnen zijn zonder de gebruikelijke symptomen bij het eten van peren. Voedingsmiddelenfabrikanten hebben, aldus de woordvoerder van de Minister President, aangekondigd dat binnen 16 maanden peer-vervangers beschikbaar zullen zijn. Deze ontwikkeling wordt ondersteund door de grote supermarktketens en de WPO.  In zijn persconferentie van vanavond zal de Minister President tevens aankondigen dat de slock-down voorlopig niet kan worden opgeheven omdat wetenschappelijk nog niet is vast komen staan dat andere roosachtigen, ook als deze niet voor consumptie geschikt zijn, niet tot vergelijkbare verschijnselen kunnen leiden.

PYRUS-19: geloof jij dit verhaal? Zou het verhaal anders zijn gelopen als Sneeuwwitje de appel niet had aangepakt?     Laat jij ook hier je intuïtie spreken?  
COVID-19? Jouw leiderschap vraagt erom dat, voordat je een keuze maakt, jij je bewust bent van de bronnen waarop jij je baseert en om transparantie van wat je doelen zijn. Zie jij het verschil tussen appels en peren? Volg de juiste bron, blijf leider over jezelf en je eigen leven, ook in tijden van chaos, sprookjes en realiteit. Wees er alert op dat je niet lijdt aan het ‘niet willen zien’- syndroom!

Liefde

D-Ranch heeft altijd geloofd en gevoeld dat liefde er mag zijn en mag stromen. Liefde en levensenergie die ieder levend individu, mens en dier, mag en kan ervaren. Paarden, dieren en de natuur zijn ondersteunend, gevend en ontvangend, omdat liefde hen zelf ook doet leven in de volle omvang. De natuur, inclusief schimmels, bacteriën en virussen worden ons mensen aangereikt om samen mee te zijn in bewustzijn, in waarde en in genezing op het grotere niveau. Het contact met de natuur en dus ook contact met mensen als onderdeel van die zelfde natuur is daarom zo essentieel voor de levensenergie van ieder. De intense bewustwording hiervan biedt Covid -19. De wereldleiders bieden hun ratio door o.a. regelgeving als 1,5 meter social distance. Het meest dodelijke voor levende wezens. Dat dit tijdelijk ingevoerd wordt om mensen tegen een acute ziekte die het Corona-virus veroorzaakt te beschermen álá, maar als nieuwe toekomst? Daar gelooft D-Ranch niet in en wil dit ook niet uitdragen. Er lopen in mijn weides geen paarden met beschermende plastic wanden, geen aura-protectors, infra-roodsystemen. Het is als therapeut te verklaren, maar zeker niet als ondernemer en oprichter en eigenaar van D-Ranch en Dentolive dat er bedrijven klakkeloos, zonder hun oprechte ratio, zonder hun hart-weten, opvolgen wat de wereldleiders opdragen. Dit is mijn inziens niet wat het virus vraagt. Dit is niet wat Covid-19 brengt aan het grotere geheel. Het laat mijn inziens zien waar het werkelijk om gaat. Sociaal contact, fysiek contact, (zachte) aanraking, aura’s die in contact komen, in elkaars ruimte leven omdat je elkaar lief hebt of respecteert.

Liefde.

Onontbeerlijk om te kunnen leven. Liefde op afstand, liefde op 1,5 meter afstand, niet bij je stervende Corona-besmette geliefde te mogen zijn anno 2020, wie bedenkt dit, wie gaat hier in mee? Bedrijven die hun slaatje slaan om hier geld aan te verdienen. Bedrijven waar de bezieling niet samenvalt met hun uitgedragen missie en visie. Ratio regeert als liefde wordt buitengesloten. Ratio geeft bedrijven, zonder hun liefde voor hun product, markt of proces, de motivatie om klakkeloos de opgelegde 1,5 meter vorm te geven en te verkopen aan andere bedrijven.

D-Ranch blijft geloven en voelen dat liefde vanuit de mensheid, vanuit het dierenrijk en vanuit de natuur uitdraagt zoals het bedoeld is. De successen van D-Ranch bevestigen dit. Met elkaar, de afstand die je zelf wenst, elkaars ogen die elkaar mogen bereiken, de levensenergie die stroomt. die energie die je nodig hebt om je eigen leven in te richten. D-Ranch plaatst geen 1,5 meter schermen in het weiland, want ik werk met echtheid, puurheid, liefde die iedereen kent, ook de wereldleiders. Liefde die iedereen nodig heeft. Liefde die ook jouw leven laat stralen.

Lieve mensen, laat je gezonde verstand, je eigen ratio, spreken in deze tijd en binnen de vooropgezette sfeer, waarin de wereldleiders ons nu brengen. Trek je eigen conclusies door je hart te laten spreken, te voelen of dit klopt! Leven hoort bij doodgaan, doodgaan bij het leven, ziekte, issues, klachten en impasses helpen je groeien, leren en leven. D-Ranch gaat haar liefde niet vanaf 1,5 meter laten ervaren, tenzij je dat wenst vanuit je hart. Het ratio van D-Ranch spreekt zich uit in ‘doe wat je wil en wil wat je doet ‘ binnen de context, met respect voor jouw en andermans leven, in harmonie en het gezonde evenwicht. D-Ranch staat waar het voor staat, angst speelt een rol, liefde krijgt de hoofdrol. Het leven met de natuur, het dierenrijk en de mensheid, in een universum. Onder één zon!

Leadership and Stable Vices

Not wanting to see syndrome

A few years ago I bought a horse, a somewhat older horse at an annual fair somewhere in the countryside. When I saw the horse for the first time, it stood a little squeezed in a corner of the market, sadly waiting for the end of the market, symbolically enough, right next to a truck of a horse butcher. No owner in sight.

But the horse attracted me. No matter how timid and sad she was, I felt an inner strength with that horse. A big brown mare, with eyes that looked at you full of deep sadness. The horse with signs of a life of hard work, once muscular.

After some wandering around the market and in the pubs of the village I managed to find the owner and to buy the horse, as expected not for a lot of money. There was no name in the passport. So I bought a nameless, old horse, for no reason but just a feeling.

With an equally old piece of string on an equally old halter, I took her off the market. A metamorphosis took place in her. The head went up, the back straightened and with a proud step it went into freedom with me.

Now this beautiful mare runs on the mountain pastures of D-Ranch Equine Living Center in southern France.
A powerful personality, so much more powerful than I had ever seen at that first meeting at the fair. Now, proud and powerful, enjoying nature, being allowed to be always outside, always be a horse as much as possible, as horses want to be. In a herd, wandering all over the terrain, from pasture to pasture.

Drinking troughs where necessary, natural water where possible.

           
She still carries her past with her. Stable vices, that is called. For example, every time her road is blocked, she stands weaving by a fence or tree trunk. Her sight is clearly less, but how beautiful and powerful she is and how good she is in our herd of eight horses and a mule. Her muscles are shiny and tight again. The hind legs strong, from walking on the hills. Fierce, sparkling, powerful. A pleasure to see. You feel the energy when you are with her.

Drinking from the lake

One day the horses could go down the mountain to the lake for the first time this year after a winter season time. The slopes that were to slippery from the rain in the winter had started to dry again. The slippery weather is disappearing. In a beautiful  nice trot the herd made good use of it to go down the hill to have a drink in the lake, nice and fresh water from the lake, as if playing and splashing while drinking. Until the knees in the water, with lots of splashes and hassle, as if  the horses were celebrating their freedom.

Just not my beautiful brown mare. Not even when I brought her to the water. Is this what a leader does? Wasn’t she thirsty? Yes certainly! Was it my responsibility? When I held a bucket of water under her nose, she immediately started drinking and drank the whole bucket empty. Then again the same ritual … not  drinking  from the lake like the other horses, but only from the bucket. It touched me when I realized how unnatural it was, as if this horse might never have been a horse in a natural way as if it had not even learned to drink from a lake, from her mother or herd. Only to drink from a bucket or water bowl from humans. Whatever happened in her past, does it matter to you as leader?

What do you do as a leader? Do you think:  “Why aren’t you drinking? See how I made up for all the circumstances. There is water, there is meadow, you are free to make your own choices. If you are thirsty, start drinking. I’ll wait till you start drinking. Or do you see the trauma, do you see the underlying motives for not drinking from the lake and are you going to grab that bucket of water?

In many organizations, there are beautiful brown horses, once powerful, once muscular and working very hard at a high level. The people around them know little about the pain, about the motives. These horses are a bit on the side of the organization. The reorganization is lurking.

And the management of the organization does everything to make those people function. Everything has been arranged. Training, perhaps even modified tasks and roles, guidance … Start working, everything is arranged.

What do you see then? Do you see the lake that the horse will not drink from? Despite the horse even being brought there? Or are you still going to get a bucket despite the lake? This is actually about seeing. Do you want to see what is really going on. The rationality of the lake, or the unconscious heart of the bucket.

It’s really about seeing who the horse is. There was no name in her passport. Fortunately a family tree. After some searching on the internet with the names of her parents Grand Amour and Windlight, her name came up Grandlight. A name with a beautiful history and wonderful achievements. A name of a horse with capacities, a horse with power. What a beautiful name: Grandlight. Light to show.

And you? What do you want to see or what do you not want to see? Do you want to take leadership or give leadership? Does your leadership consist of bringing to the pond, or bringing the bucket?

Sometimes organizations do not want (or cannot) to see what is really going on because this is hidden in the unconscious.

The Don’t Want To See It – syndrome affects everything and everyone that is disconnected from its nature, its true being. I have learned that businesses fail because they lost the connection with the true essence of their being. In management books this true essence is frequently referred to as Mission. Many books are written on this topic, but most of them miss the true essence of it. The reason the business is there, it’s heart and soul. Not the great words that management has written down in the annual statement of strategy papers. That’s what management made of it. And only if management wrote that down from their heart, free from the entrapment of the burdens I discussed in the first chapter, it will give purpose, direction.

But if you miss that essence, you will have a shaky configuration, things will not line up.  The only way to overcome this is to find your personal leadership, your true essence, living by your heart, giving a heart and soul to your company. Your business skills will be enhanced to discover the true essence and leading principle of what it is that thrives your business. Based on that leading principles you will evaluate your mission and strategy and discover what will enable your business to be successful.

Leadership or power, the trauma determines!

Covid-19, a symptom of world’s trauma?

There is a general law in the universe that a vacuum will always be filled. It is the same with leadership and power. If a vacuum fills with power, there is little room for leadership and vice versa. Repairing is only possible by creating a vacuum again and allowing it to be refilled.

The special thing about this is that filling with power or filling with leadership are actually comparable, say parallel systems, that take place according to similar processes, but fundamentally have a different origin and a different outcome.

Let me explain that a bit. Many books about decision-making processes speak of power or leadership within a decision-making process. But this ignores the fact that a decision-making process itself is the exercise of power or leadership.

Crozier wrote about power in 1961 “(…) power can neither be suppressed nor ignored. It stems from the impossibility of eliminating uncertainty, in the context of bounded rationality which is ours. In such a context, the power of A over B depends on A’s ability to predict B’s behavior and on the uncertainty of B about A’s behavior. As long as the requirements of action create situations of uncertainty, the individuals who have to face them have power over those who are affected by the results of their choice ”.

So power has an origin in uncertainty. People or groups fight for control of the ultimate strategic sources of uncertainties, and their fates in the group struggle depend on their ability to control these. The ones that cope most effectively with the most uncertainty have the most power, since coping reduces the impact of uncertainty, a shock absorber function. Coping may be by prevention or by absorption. By coping a pseudo certainty is being created for others, what otherwise would be contingencies. Since avoidance of uncertainty is not possible, it is all about coping, what matters. Reducing the uncertainty is not the same as reducing the impact of uncertainty. Uncertainty that always will exist for those seeking power. The impact is highly influenced by the centrality of the uncertainty, the possibilities to avoid it.

The situation, in which certain individuals control variables unpredictable to the other people has an only partial objective foundation. It is man-made and socially crested, but is nevertheless not arbitrary. It is the indirect result of the power struggle within society and people that by routinization will try to cope with uncertainty, to create a situation where there appears to be no uncertainty. Through information or absorption they define how the uncertainty which does occur shall be coped with. But how does this affect power since it does not eliminate uncertainty itself? What it does is increasing substitutability.

The centrality and substitutability of the uncertainty create dependence of others. And it depends on the political skills and energy of the people how successful those other people will be in exercising power. Whereas power is always a power relationship and where that relationship is missing, control systems will take over. Power will be created in forms of ideology, politics, expertise of personal and bureaucratic control systems.

How about Leadership? Leadership can be suppressed and ignored. It is far from rational and stems from being certain in the context of bounded rationality which is ours. In such a context, the Leadership of A is not going over B. It does not depend on A’s ability to predict B’s behavior and on the uncertainty of B about A’s behavior. Is stems from the inner certainty A has in himself, and acting accordingly. So leadership has an origin in certainty. Certainty that lets you act as if there is no uncertainty. Leadership as a kind of duality of power.

Leaders don’t fight for control of the ultimate strategic sources of uncertainties, and do not depend on their ability to control these. They don’t cope, they act from certainty as if uncertainty is non-existent. They experience no impact of uncertainty.

Leadership is not man-made and socially crested, but is universal, stems from the power of the heart, the connection to the universe. It stems from following one’s heart, free from uncertainty.

But leadership is often hampered. As an indirect result of the power struggle within society. People that are shattered by the uncertainty and feelings of uncertainty created by others. Created to define how the uncertainty which does occur shall be coped with. An endless stream of pressure to impose insecurity, as it were. What it does is increasing substitutability. The centrality and substitutability of the certainty leadership creates, will lead to independence of others, independent of the political skills and energy of the people that try to control them. No power will be created, no ideology, no politics, no false expertise or personal and bureaucratic control systems.

Where power is always a power relationship and where that relationship is missing, control systems exist that have taken control, is leadership within people themselves, connected to their own heart, the certain energy of what is and will be.

Can leadership be pushed away by power? Can leadership also go together with power? Yes but it depends on trauma. This sounds mystical, but let me explain this by the story of Erik and Genesys because this not only shows what I mean, but also gives a key to restoring leadership.

Erik, the beautiful large Friesian horse from one of my other stories. Straightforward, no trauma. A gelding who is leader of his herd. Erik looks, Erik lets go, Erik intervenes when necessary, but only then. The herd gives him his place, let him go first. If there is any tramp in the herd, he will assert himself. Subtle, sometimes only with the movement of an ear. There is no uncertainty for Erik. He does. No stress, no hassle.

And then Genesys, from the other story. Traumatized, but strong and powerful. When Erik is taken out of the herd by us, Genesys feels responsible for the herd. Driven by uncertainty, he exercises his power. Kicks here, bites there, creates his space with physical pressure. And it is only through the uncertainty of others about his behavior that he gets his space.

Erik is guided by his intuition, Genesys by his insecurity. Erik chooses his strategy, Genesys is stuck in his survival strategy.

Because of these different ways of acting, where the trauma of Genesys lets him go for power instead of leadership, these horses are extremely suitable to be representative in a system setup. Without bias by human representatives, they show where the certainties and uncertainties are in the system.

Power-relations cannot be developed in situations where no one can affect the behavior of others. Leadership does. Leadership is about choice, freedom of the heart, being certain of what is and will be.

Uncertainties can be hyped and lead to power processes. Certainties cannot and lead to leadership. When existing structures are challenged, like the COVID-19 situation, new vacuums occur. Vacuums that will be filled. But how?  Insecurity is created by power of information or authority. Experts are leading, not because of leadership, but because of their expertise. And people that feel that power are trying to reduce the power-gap and become less dependent on these experts and to create power for themselves. This power reduction tendency always occurs. People will try to reduce the power gap with those having more power and increase their own power over those with less power. That’s why people ignore so many government measures like within the COVID-19-period.

In that way power is addictive and this tendency is only restricted by behavioral cost. Cost that are inherent in the process, the things you have to give in, the energy you have to invest or the trade-off you have to make. Or e.g. the penalties people get when ignoring the lock-down.
But the strange thing with power of expertise is that sharing expertise just will diminish the power of the expert and most probably politics will take over, by politicians or even by the expert themselves. They will try to restore their power. Create uncertainty by fear or by other means.

And how does society react? They don’s see it, they don’t want to see it. Society is traumatised by so many years of social media, by the fear or missing out, not belonging. Trauma, that makes them vulnerable for power and power processes.

And where is leadership in all this? Only if you want to see it, you will see where it is. You will feel the certainty, embrace the freedom of choice. The choice of your heart  …

But can you see when traumas rule your world?

The Don’t Want to See It – syndrome, Genesys

A syndrome: sometimes the cause of problems is unknown, but the regular merging of signs is so striking that they are grouped into a syndrome.

How is it possible that so many leadership training courses are being given and that people still need or want to be trained and coached in leadership? Leadership, you cannot visit LinkedIn and other social networks without encountering an article about leadership. The best names, such as “servant leadership” (Greanleaf), “mindfulness, selflessness & compassion (Hougaard), transformational leadership (Bass / Riggio), you name it. Many coaches and horse coaches also focus on the theme of leadership as if leadership is for sale.

In the meantime, the world is turning and looking for leadership. Searching but not seeing … How is that possible? Why all these efforts? Why so many textbooks, training, courses, coaching and horse coaching?     
For one thing, in modern society we receive constant incentives to belong. Belonging to it, a basic necessity of people. People lose leadership as a result. Society responds to that. A new need arises, that for leadership. But who really sees, what’s going on? While society is leading people away from true leadership, beautiful theories, training methods, (horse) coaching with even more beautiful names, tell you what to learn, how to think, how to behave.             
Is there some wisdom in all those offers, if we keep buying, reading and following training? Is there wisdom about leadership in the horses or their herd? Do we really need all those things, or do we just not see where it is, and find ourselves in a never ending quest?    

Genesys, a great and strong grey horse. A beautiful large Belgian warm-blooded horse, with impressive pedigree. Traumatized by being taken away from his mother too early. Once had an accident while loading the trailer, in which the thorn protrusions of his withers were broken. Unmanageable for many by his behaviour, biting, prancing, even labelled dangerous. Not to handle, let alone to ride. For more than two years a horse rescue foundation took care of him. No suitable owner seemed to be found.

My first introduction is completely different. Almost looking like an easy, timid pony, he is standing in the meadow, to me looking sad and misunderstood.

He is welcome at my place, but if they want to bring him there, it is a completely different horse. Wild, scaffolding, kicking and roaring during trailer loading…. And then he stands with me in the meadow. Not in a stable, just between the ponies. He seems to look around wondering what happened to him, distrustful of his surroundings. But so beautiful, so much power, so much willingness to be there, to organize a place in the herd, to manifest himself….

I could tell for hours about how I trained with him, touching, giving love and warmth, leading and lead training exercises to give him confidence. I hang around his neck between his forelegs while he was prancing (the only place where you are safe if you don’t want to stand many meters away). Not to control him, but to make him feel that I am there. There for him, in his trauma, his uncertainty. Not for dominance, but for the will to free him from that restrictive behaviour, from the limitations that he imposes on himself by his fear. His survival strategy in difficult situations. Not failing him, let him feel that he can be there, proud of who he is. But that I may be his leader. With respect for who he is, his traumas … Giving confidence, offering confidence ..

Have you ever read this in a management book, heard on a course or during a coaching? What I did was to fill the void, the trauma left, intuitively, close to his heart. No tricks, no thinking, no acquired skills. Only act, act from seeing what there is! Filling an emptiness, arising from his trauma. A void that had filled itself with a survival strategy and could now be filled with given confidence and accepted leadership as an answer.

Within two weeks I was able to ride him, unsaddled, no halter. Later also with saddle and halter. What a moment, those first laps on that powerful back. Feeling that I am accepted, that I am allowed to be his leader. Have taken leadership in our relationship. Have gained leadership in the collaboration.

Genesys, he can make you feel where you are standing in your leadership. If you are not authentic but only do things that you have read, or that you have trained, you will not get anywhere with him. Then he can even be dangerous. Intolerant of inauthenticity. But is that not the case with everyone, who is confronted with people who claim to be the leader. You might ask yourself, if you can claim leadership or if it is given to you? Dare you test your leadership in front of Genesys?

Leadership. It is not about learning with your head, about learning competencies and skills. Leadership is within you. As soon as you see that, you can see what is going on with your followers. If you lead with your head, tricks and learned actions, learned compassion, attitude, then you don’t see your followers. And they don’t see you. Then you do not see what limits them in their functioning. You will only see the symptoms. Then you don’t see their power, their possibilities. Then you see only trauma, only unmanageability.

If you discover your way to see it, all that other learned stuff won’t work. And they will see that! Look at what is going on! Time and time again we are sent on a course, we buy expensive education and training, we read books, we are being coached or we watch YouTube videos. Time after time.

And that while you can ride, unhaltered and unsaddled …

If you actually see, then immediately you only can  act on it from your leadership and you will lead your followers in their own strength.

And that is often the case. I am reminded of an entrepreneur. Hard working, many initiatives, but it doesn’t really work. At first his actions look successful  but eventually many of them fail. He fires people, hires others, better educated, better experience and yet…. It does not work. The results are lagging behind, physical complaints are coming. He doesn’t see it anymore. He doesn’t see it ….

He does not see that he wanted so badly to be seen by his father. That all his decisions, all his actions, have the motive: to be seen. That his survival strategy, his lifestyle and his business operations are based on that principle. The urge to be seen by his father .. What can’t he see in himself? What could his father have seen in him?

Do you want to see?

Prancing, biting, kicking. Skills burdened with what he does not want to see. His deep pain, the pain to be seen by his father.

Every act in his company has this deepest motive. That is why he should want to see, get to work on his skills, and disconnect his actions from that motive. To free his company from this entrapment, these unconscious goals. Then the unseen entrapment disappears. Then space is created for one’s own strength, and leadership and the inspiration of his company comes into a different light. That light that shows all you can see outside the shadow of the burdens you carry, unknowingly, unseen. As long as you don’t want to see that, you will keep focusing on external factors, you will keep following courses, hire other people, and you will never get to the point….

If you really want to see, take the scales off your eyes.  Scales: all the burdens of everything that you carry with you and that stands in the way of your leadership. Burdens that works against your leadership. Burdens that makes your life harder. That makes leadership hard work. You need unburdened skills, skills that are not burdened with old “shit”. Skills you often already have, but are still burdened, often unseen.   
Do you see a prancing horse, or do you see that place between those forelegs where you can hang around the horse’s neck to free the skills from the entrapment.

It depends on what you want (and dare) to see. To be continued….
